"I've had no memory for as long as I can remember." Well, this isn't exactly what we expected, but the first trailer for Akiva Goldsman's fantasy romance Winter's Tale is here. Colin Farrell plays a thief who falls in love with a dying young woman (Jessica Brown Findlay) after he breaks into her palatial home on Manhattan’s West Side. But Russell Crowe plays a gangster boss hellbent on making sure Farrell doesn't end up happy. Then what seems like a grounded period romance gets whimsical as Farrell is suddenly in modern day New York, having not aged a single day, with no memory of his love; that is until Jennifer Connelly comes along and helps put the pieces together. We're still not sure what to make of this. Watch!

Here's the first trailer for Akiva Goldsman's Winter's Tale, originally from Apple:

Set in a mythic New York City and spanning more than a century, Winter's Tale is a story of miracles, crossed destinies, the age-old battle between good and evil, and of course never-ending love. The film stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly, William Hurt, Eva Marie Saint and Russell Crowe, marking the directorial debut of Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind), who also adapted Mark Helprin's 1983 novel. Warner Bros. releases the film Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2014.
